Many people got freaked out and didn't last long in the water. They are very smart and very friendly creatures. The encounter was unparalleled and a truly life changing experience. It was a bit intimidating for a lot of people to be surrounded by them as they fed. With that being said many people in the group on the boat ( not our party) were very nervous and freaked out about the size and the proximity to these gentle and magical waterborne flying puppies. As seasoned divers and ocean going men we were both completely blown away with the experience and highly recommend this to anyone that comes here.

The crew was super chill and very vigilant about giving everyone the experience that we were seeking.

We saw at least 20 Mantas ranging from 5ft to 13 ft on our tour. Our guides Jacob ,JB and Olu were experts at placing us just in the right spot. Interestingly enough we were taught that this is the only place in the world that you will be able to view and interact with these beautiful creatures. We rode out north for about 20 mins where we moored and learned the history of the manta rays. The sounds of good reggae paired well with the taste of salt on your lips from the front of boat. We left the harbor just in time for a beautiful sunset complete with snacks and local juices. The crew was very accommodating and very knowledgeable about the area,ocean and of course the Mantas. When we arrived we were greeted with smiling faces and a no judgement vibe. Please plan accordingly to get there early so they can run on schedule.

This tour/activity will have a maximum of 48 travelersįirst off we were running a bit late due to a circumstance beyond our control and the captain waited for us to leave the the dock.

MUST BE comfortable in the water, be comfortable using floatation if needed (we have Ride Along option available for non-swimmers).

MUST HAVE PREVIOUS SWIMMING AND SNORKELING EXPERIENCE OR WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET IN THE WATER!!!.

A PADI Scuba Diver Certification is given to those that only complete the first 2 check out dives of their open water certification. Those with a PADI Scuba Diver rating are welcome to join on the dive, but are required to have a private guide. Divers ages 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or private guide. Junior Open Water Divers are welcome to join on the dive, but ages 10-11 are required to have a private guide. If you have been dry over 2 years we do require a check out dive to be done prior to this activity. You are expected to have been on a recent dive, at least within the past 2 years. We would love for you to come talk story prior to your dive, but if you would like to go directly to the boat please make sure you have your certification card on your person or have emailed us a copy of your c-card and have signed the electronic waiver. We would be happy to help you find your certification, but sometimes we find them and sometimes we don't (which means no diving and no refund) so please let us help you early. Certified Divers: Divers are required to have their Open Water Certification and to bring their certification card (no card = no diving).
